Bio

How did you learn about AIChE and why did you join?

I learned about AIChE through taking ECH 80 freshman year. When classes were virtual, joining AIChE helped me make connections with peers during isolating times. At the time, I was also in the process of switching into Chemical Engineering, so joining allowed me to be more involved in the major.

How has AIChE helped you grow professionally and/or personally?

AIChE provides invaluable resources to students for career opportunities. Most interviews I have received and company representatives I have spoken with have been through professional events hosted by the club. Being an officer has also brought me closer to people in the club as well as in my class.

What's one interesting fact about you?

I took a gap year between high school and university, spending my time volunteering abroad. I spent three months in Kenya and another in Indonesia teaching elementary school kids in local communities.

If you could bring one item with you to a deserted island (aside from food and water), what would it be and why?

Probably a phone to call friends. I get lonely quite easily, despite my reserved personality.

If you could watch one show the rest of your life, what would it be?

Modern Family
