How did you learn about AIChE and why did you join?

I heard about AIChE from multiple places: freshman orientation, ECH classes, and the many advisor emails. Especially with little to no prior experience with ChE, I thought that it would be a great way to get involved and that it would be really nice to join a community of ChemE's.

How has AIChE helped you grow professionally and/or personally?

AIChE has offered me innumerable different resources, opportunities, and connections by simply being a part of the organization, helping me meet and branch out to more people -- in industry, school, and the community -- build better bonds with fellow (bio)chemE majors, and organize events with a more mature mindset.

What's one interesting fact about you? 

I can spell five of the longest English words.

If you could bring one item with you to a deserted island (aside from food and water), what would it be and why?

I would bring a knife for its versatility: strip/cut vegetation, food, and other materials; defense; carve/mark surfaces; serve as a utensil; pick at something; reflect light for a signal/fire; and whatever else a situation may call for.

If you could watch one show the rest of your life, what would it be?
