How did you learn about AIChE and why did you join?

I was taking the coffee class for fun during my first quarter here and loved how Dr. Kuhl and Ristenpart would talk about Chemical Engineering. I asked them about how I could get involved and learn more about the major so they encouraged me to attend the AIChE meetings!

How has AIChE helped you grow professionally and/or personally?

When we were put into mentorship families I was also looking for research labs to join, and through my family I was able to find one that I really like under Dr. Ristenpart. Personally, I met so many cool and amazing people and made some solid friendships.

What's one interesting fact about you? 

I have competed in the same a cappella competition that’s featured in Pitch Perfect!

If you could bring one item with you to a deserted island (aside from food and water), what would it be and why?

I would bring a pool float with a canopy, so I can enjoy my time on the island while also using it as a bed on land!

If you could watch one show the rest of your life, what would it be?

I would watch Adventure Time because It was my favorite show as a kid! There are so many hidden easter eggs I would always have something new to look for.
