How did you learn about AIChE and why did you join?

I learned about AIChE at freshman orientation. I really wanted to be closer to the people in my department, go to networking events, form study groups, and make lifelong friends. I feel like AIChE really allowed me to do that!

How has AIChE helped you grow professionally and/or personally?

AIChE helped me grow so much both professionally and personally. Whether it's attending game nights, general meetings, or mentorship events, I have always found someone who I could turn to to give me advice. And even with my recent involvement on the board, I can say that I have made a lot of improvements when it comes to working with others and learning what it means to be a leader.

What's one interesting fact about you?

I rode my bike for 36 miles every weekend during the summer (and I still do it when I'm back at home)!

If you could bring one item with you to a deserted island (aside from food and water), what would it be and why?

I would probably bring the Harry Potter series! I've been reading them since high school. So maybe if I were stranded on an island I would actually have time to finish them.
