How did you learn about AIChE and why did you join?

I learned about AIChE at an engineering club fair that was held during the first week of school. I joined because it seemed like a really impressive club that knew how to balance academics with socials. Plus, the members running the stand made a really good impression on me, and I felt like I finally found a place to belong to.

How has AIChE helped you grow professionally and/or personally?

Personally, AIChE has helped me meet so many awesome people that I wouldn’t have necessarily met outside of the club. I have enjoyed connecting with other chemical engineering majors, and it’s really nice to have the support and guidance of the upperclassmen. Professionally, being a freshman representative has helped me improve my time management and organizational skills.

What's one interesting fact about you?

I was born on Friday the 13th! And yes, it was a very dark and stormy night.

If you could bring one item with you to a deserted island (aside from food and water), what would it be and why?

I would want to bring a hammock because then I could just chill as a cocoon all day.
